Touch Rugby Returns on 31st March

Nottingham Outlaws’ Touch Rugby League sessions will be recommencing on Wednesday 31st March at 7.30pm.

Outlaws Touch Rugby League sessions provide a fun, social environment for people of a range of ages and ability levels to enjoy non-contact Rugby League through touch rugby. Beginners are welcome – no previous experience is necessary. Players must be from the U14s age group or older.

For the 2021 season, the following rule amendments will be implemented:

  • Teams are allowed one defensive marker at the play-the-ball. The marker may only pressure the attacking dummy half if they start running with the ball.
  • Touching the dummy half will no longer result in a turnover.
  • Attempt must be made to play the ball with the foot. Rolling the ball back through the legs with no attempt to play it with the foot will result in a turnover.
  • 1 minute sin bin for persistent infringements.

Due to the restrictions surrounding participation numbers, it is imperative that players wishing to participate book their place in advance of the session every week, by completing the poll on the club Facebook page.

Those players without Facebook accounts should contact the organisers directly (Nick Robb or George Strachan for Touch Rugby). Alternatively, you can contact the club by completing this form.

Players should aim to arrive 10 minutes prior to the sessions, in order to complete the register and COVID-19 screening. Players must also adhere to the COVID-19 participant guidelines.
