Trent RL Alumni Association

Rugby League was established at Nottingham Trent University (formerly Trent Polytechnic) in 1982 by Gary Leadbeater and Tim Burton. Ever since, the NTU Rugby League Club has introduced countless new players to the greatest game, many of whom have continued their playing and coaching careers after university and helped to further develop the sport.

The positive experiences and challenges provided through playing for NTU Rugby League have helped to provide innumerous memories and form many lifelong friendships.

The Trent Rugby League Alumni Association (TRLAA) has been formed to provide support to the current NTU Rugby League Club. The TRLAA has the following aims:

  • Supporting NTU Rugby League recruitment and off field support with monetary donations, fundraising, volunteering time and experience
  • Providing a link for former players to stay involved with NTU Rugby League and the sport of rugby league in general
