Nottingham Outlaws RLFC are pleased to announce Joe Raine as the second recipient of the 2022/23 NTU Rugby League Scholarship.
The existing NTU Rugby League and Nottingham Outlaws player and former Durham Demons Junior is awarded entry to the program after and excellent start to the Student Rugby League season following a full season for Nottingham Outlaws and pre season for NTU Rugby League.
Joe Shepherd, Head Coach of Nottingham Outlaws and NTU Rugby League added his comments around Joe’s successful application. “Joe’s been down at Nottingham Outlaws for a couple of years now, he’s followed the development pathway through the NTU Rugby League and Nottingham Outlaws second teams but has really kicked on as a player throughout the 2022 Yorkshire Men’s League and NTU Rugby League pre season. He’s a destructive ball carrier capable of punching holes in the opposition defence and regularly gets his team on the front foot in attack. Based on what I’ve seen from him in pre season and the first couple of games this season I’m excited at what else he can achieve this year”
