Outlaws Target Home Win

Nottingham Outlaws will be hoping that they can finally secure a victory at the tenth time of trying when they entertain Beverley at Highfields on Saturday (kick off 2.30pm). It appears a tough ask, especially as the Outlaws lost 24-14 to the East Yorkshire outfit back in June. However, the Outlaws have been building momentum in recent weeks and they were more than a little unlucky not to break their losing sequence last week when they lost it at the death in North Hull.

The recent upturn in playing form has coincided with the coaches being able to keep something of a settled team rather than the usual plethora of squad changes that had dogged the side for most of the current campaign. And this week the coaches had the luxury of naming more or less the same team that almost brought home the bacon from North Hull last weekend.

A quick look down the team sheet sees more or less the same starting pack except that Oliver Dale and Conor Foulkes miss the game after picking injuries and are replaced by Elliot Wetham who moves up from centre and utility play maker Alex Whittle who normally ply’s his trade in the halves but will operate on the tail of the pack. The forward interchanges include Joe Barton, Ben Scott-Nelson and the evergreen Stew Readhead who will be rotated through the game.

The half back combination remains unchanged whilst the only change in the backs is the return of Adam Simm who takes the available spot in the centres with Adrian Chaima back on the bench after returning from student world cup duties in Australia this week
