Nottingham Boots Corsairs Ladies Rugby Football Club is a friendly club that values fun as well as taking rugby seriously and developing all players. Our club welcomes any new player of any shape, size and fitness level regardless of whether you have been playing rugby for years or have never seen a game of rugby in your life. HISTORY Nottingham Boots Corsairs Ladies RFC was formed in 2002 as Nottingham Ladies RFC affiliated to Nottingham RFC and playing at Ireland Avenue in Beeston. After a year establishing a team and playing various friendlies the club joined the Midlands East 4 in 2003. In their first season playing in a formal league the team were crowned league champions and were promoted to the Midlands East 3 League. In the 2005/2006 season the team moved with Nottingham RFC to it's current location- The Bay at Lady Bay in West Bridgford After finishing second in the league in 2006/2007 Nottingham Ladies were promoted to the National Challenge Midland 1 League. At the beginning of the 2008/2009 season, following an administrative reorganisation at Nottingham RFC the amateur side of the club merged with Nottingham Boots and the ladies team became Nottingham Boots Corsairs Ladies RFC. We train twice a week and play competitive matches and friendlies on a Sunday afternoon. Throughout the year we have regular socials.
